The plasters have a cool transparent polyurethane gel on a polyurethane film boarder to treat and protect the burn from bacterial penetration. These plasters create a moist environment, which prevents hard scab formation to reduce scarring and promote healing. The plasters are sterile and individually wrapped.
Hazards and Cautions:
To help prevent infection, wash hands before use and after dressing the burn injury. Our HypaPlast Burn Plasters should not be used on third degree burns or highly exuding wounds. Do not use on large or severe burns or on burns that are infected or bleeding. Seek medical advice. If the burn becomes reddened, swollen or does not appear to heal after a period of time, seek medical advice. After a period, the plasters will dry out; this is normal. Remove and replace the dressing if necessary. Do not use if you have any known reactions to polyurethane gel. Do not used if the wrapper is damaged or it’s dried out. Do not use after expiry date. Do not re-use plasters, these are single -use only and will negatively affect performance and greatly increase risk of infection.
